Guest guest
I must sound like a vitamin C broken record. So here goes for the last time: I take 8 grams of time release only. I read the original study and came to my 8 grams based on the study. I can't remember the exact numbers but it translated into something like 7-8 grams for a 150 pound male. I am not male, I don't weight 150 pounds I am 135 pounds, I do not synthesize vitamin C because I am not a mouse, lol. I believe that I can and should take as much vitamin C as my body needs. I tolerate 8 grams but get stomach problems at 9 grams. With vitamin C your body will use what it needs and excrete the rest. I use time release because from what I have read on several sites the liver will only hold 1500 m at a time of V/C. Over 1500 m Vitamin C has a half life of 30 mins. I want a therapeutic dose in my body as long as possible. Yes the mice in the study took regular release vitamin C. Because mice synthesize vitamin C they continually had a therapeutic dose. They were also given the vitamin C several times a day. I have a 12 hour release vitamin. I believe kidney stones from Vitamin C are a myth and if I a wrong and get kidney stones them seem like a small side effect to slowing down my CMT. They can fix kidney stones in a few hours. I have my whole life to live. Since starting vitamin C I have more feeling, I don't get as cold, I have better circulation, my cholesterol is perfect now, I can move toes that haven't moved in years, I can feel the floor when I am barefoot, My left hand strength went from a 2 to a 10, my right hand was a 5 then went to a 7 the last strength test I couldn't use because I had worn my hand out trying to figure out where to squeeze the tool. Guest guest
, Where do you get your vitamin C from and in what mg or grams do each tablet have. I have had difficulty finding it. Are these the 1000 mg ones and you just take a lot of them? Please fill me in! Jackie
Guest guest
Does anyone know if C also helps joint pain? A friend of mine was telling me about her symptoms (she is seeing a physio too) and without asking too much it seemed as if her issues were neuromuscular. I was telling her about C making me feel stronger. Thanks, Donna from London
