Guest guest
My name is Nina and I am 36 years old. I have been married now almost 8 1/2 years and have 2 children ages 5 1/2 and 3 who do not show any of the signs.I have had balance and walking problems since I was a child. I have never, until now, received a proper diagnosis, it has been very frustrating but I have had a lot of concerned friends who helped me with all aspects of my life. I work as a teacher's aide with special needs kids, and I think my disability helps them out tremdously because we all have difficulties in one area or another. My symptoms include hammer toes which make walking painful, very tight achilies tendons, trouble with leg strength and lowered upper body strength. I cannot drive because I don't have the strength to hold down the brake pedal at stop lights, and the flexibility in my heel cords to move my foot from the gas pedal to the brake pedal.
