Yes, Guillian-Barre Syndrome is rare. I don't know how it will effect CMT.

But I have CMT 1 and my husband, , who doesn't have CMT has had

Guillian-Barre Syndrome. He had two episodes of it when he was younger (around

the same age as your son). The therapy is vital! My husband was

temporally-paralized from the waist down the first time and recovered, then

temp-paralized from the neck down the second time and recovered. He does have

some side effects from it. If your son needs someone to talk to who has
