Guest guest
I am a 36 year old no family history of CMT. I however have it. I have a wonderful husband who does not have it, (making a dominent gene and a ?). We have two beautiful children that do not seem to have CMT. My question is this: Do hormones afftect CMT? I say yes. After making love , I seem to have a harder time walking, but after the birth of my second child, to prevent #3, I went on the Ortho Evra birth Control patch. I tried the pill, but the spikes in Med. Levels didn't work with my body. I would appreciate a doctor's point of view, and esspecially a lady doctor. Guest guest
Look in our Files for the Onapristone Folder. Open that and read the info about the study on Progesterone, men, women and CMT 1A. You can also find the research there on Progesterone Antagonists as a potential treatment for CMT. ~ Gretchen
