Guest guest
To Gretchen and Everyone who responded - Thank you for your support. Gretchen, I appreciate your getting the contact information to the Clinton Library for me, and I am keeping it close at hand. But, let me update you on what has happened. As you might remember, I work for the Arkansas Independent Living Council, and when I told my boss what had happened and asked her advice, she said she would handle it because she knows the director of the library personally. My boss' husband is a professor at the Clinton School of Public Service which is affiliated with the library. I received a call from the director of volunteers who apologized profusely and asked what she could do to correct the situation. I asked her to please provide training on disability etiquette to her staff. Then, this week I was at an IL Conference and I talked to two of my associates about it. One of these two is the director of a Center for IL in AR and the other does disability education for the Disability Rights Center here in Little Rock. They offered to contact the library and recommend that they supply training to the paid and volunteer staff. So, I am taking this approach for now, and if I don't feel that the appropriate action is taken, then I will go further and use the contacts that Gretchen supplied and also contact Mrs. Clinton as well. Again, I really appreciate all of the support I always get here at . in AR
