Guest guest
Thanks for the info on Vitamin C. Any idea how much is a good kids dose? 7 grams seems a lot for an 11 year old. I've been giving him 1 gram, 500 mg at a time. Thanks Jim
Guest guest
Hi Jim, My CMT kids can handle a lot of vitamin C. I really studied up on dosing and vitamin C research before we began our own trial. The conclusion I came to was that 1 gram regular release won't do anything for CMT. It won't even keep a cold away. I had such a glowing report about my daughter on Friday. She has been on 8-10 grams of vitamin C since she was 11. She has really maintained her strength. I believe she is the least effected CMT child that my doctor has seen. I only believe this based on his amazement of her strength. It was such a happy day
Guest guest
When I am talking about vitamin C I can only tell everyone what seems to work for me and for my kids. Right now I have two CMT kids that won't take vitamin C at all. I don't push the issue with them either. But when Adam takes it he looks so good. His whole upper body gets bigger. So please, parents, do your own research on vitamin C don't take my word for it. We all need to be comfortable with what works for us. For now my boys are just not into vitamins and that is okay. Have a great day!
Guest guest
Hello again , Thanks for your input on the dosage of the Vitamin-C. Every little bit helps. But if the Dr. is correct about the " half life " of Vitamin-C being 2 weeks, and half of what is taken today is still in our various cells 2 weeks down the road, we could be wasting $$$ un- necessarily was his point, I believe. Do you or Gretchen know anything about this " half life " of Vitamin-C? Bill
Guest guest
> > Since the now brand ascorbic acid is so complicated to figure out for kids is it ok to give kids natural factors c500mg vit c with their dosage 1 capsule plus a third of another capsule? +++Hi Colleen. Yes they are quite okay, but the dose depends upon the child's age as this article explains: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/baby.php Bee
