Tingling arms and legs

Dear friends,

I have had CMT for 20 years and experience the weakness and the lack of

sensation and balance in my feet. But recently, I have had some new symptoms of

strong pins and needles tingling in my arms and legs. It is worse at night and

keeps me awake. I saw my Neurologist about it and he said it was my CMT and gave

me a prescription for Lyrica and some sleeping pills. They do manage the

symptoms OK, but I am curious if anyone else has had these painful symptoms?

My CMT has been pain free up until now and I am finding these new symptoms

discouraging. I also wonder if it couldn't be something else causing it?

I did get tested for Lyme disease and B12 levels, as these have similar

symptoms, but they came back negative.

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced these symptoms and also

if you know of any alternative treatments other than medication.
