Loooking for info for a friend

My friend just started biomed with her son. His strep titers were

really high so he is being treated with a 14 day course of

amoxycillin. Prior to the start up of the antibiotic her son was

having pain in his right eye. After startup of antibiotic, this eye

became swollen and developed a rash around it. In addition he also had

the rashy cheeks. The rash has disappeared around his eye and cheeks

but he has developed a sore on his mouth, coincidentally on the same

side of the face as the eye rash and eye pain. He is having major

dieoff issues and the eye and now entire head is hurting. This little

guy has not been on any antibiotics for at least three years. Have

any of you seen anything like this?

Is this the strep, a different type of bacteria altogether, or just

coincidence?
