Hello Carmella,

Thank you for the welcome. Our son, Ben has symptoms with his hands

currently (muscle wastage and loss of fine motor skills), and he has

the first signs of weakness in his feet. As we do not have a

definitive diagnosis as yet (our neurologist is pretty sure it is

CMT 2D, we are still not sure of where this will head. We are all

coping ok, you would understand it is up and down.

Our biggest problem is the frustration and anger we are seeing in him, and his

struggle to cope with his limitations and what is in the future. I keep telling

him he needs to get smart, and look at ways he CAN do things and not angry, in

the hope that he will understand the only thing that will stop him is his losing

faith and negativity. He seems to get that, and I hope in time it will become a

natural reaction to say I can, not I can't.

I do look forward to the support, friendship and the " I really

do know how it is " that I will get from this place.

Wishing you the very best,
