Guest guest
I was terminated from my internship because I requested an accommodation. I am a straight 'A " student. The school liaison told my internship (during the accommodation meeting) that they -the internship - " did not have to make any accommodations & that they could terminate me at any time for any reason including no reason at all. " I was terminated soon after this meeting because " it just (wasn't) working out. " My school said that I can not be in my masters program without an internship & that I can not have an internship until I resign from my grant (and pay the money back). I am supposed to graduate in June. I have paid my tuition, I am enrolled, but they will not allow me to attend classes. I am to meet with the enrollment specialist at my college tomorrow. She removed the block that allowed me to register for classes, but said that the dept. head holds the power to super-cede her decisions. I contacted legislators, non-profit advocacy groups, and have called over a hundred lawyers. I should not have to graduate a year late, pay the additional tuition for a year, put off having a baby (I am 36 in July), and go another year without an income because SF CPS does not have to make accommodations.
