Guest guest
I haven't posted in a few months. It seems that my Charcot joint is not improving. I had gone from a walking cast to a boot and then out of the boot before having a new MRI which showed that there is no improvement in the bone. Anyway, I am back in a cast and this time totally non weight bearing for an undetermined time frame to see if the bones will do what they should. If that does not bear fruit there is talk of fusing some of the bones in my ankle in order to create a stable joint. I am only 43 so would like to be on my feet for some years to come. I am concerned about a fusion healing properly given my foot has been in this Charcot process for six months now and has not resolved. I am seeking friendly advice from those of you who have been there and can share your outcomes with me. Thanks.
