Guest guest
Donna, Have you got a written job description for your desk job that you have now? If not, get one, read it, review it, make sure that's what you do. Then get a copy of the warehouse job position; read it over, review it, and make notes (to yourself) on the differences. Get ready to point out the differences to the new Supervisor, if needed. It may just be the new Supervisor is throwing his weight around, trying to intimidate employees, etc. Don't let this drag you down. Until the cross training becomes a reality, just keep doing what you're doing. If the cross-training happens, and you are trained in operation of the forklift, ask yourself if you could do this job. If you would need some sort of accommodation to do it, then sit down with the new Supervisor, explain what you'll need and why (keep it real simple) and remind him your 'strengths and talents' are in the office. Is there some way you can contact Human Resources and find out what the company policy is on persons with disabilities in employment - without revealing your CMT? Just gathering the information before hand may help you sort this out and help you relax. ~ Gretchen
