Donna, Sometimes it is good to come out with a disability and

other times it is not.

Some places that I have worked at have been accepting and supportive, others

have treated me drastically different when I revealed my disability.

The ADA laws are in place to protect the disabled in public places such as the

workplace and the EEOC is a federal agency that is a watchdog for civil rights

and ADA law. There is much advocacy available.

Even so, coming out is tricky business. Bottom line ADA or not, a company will

find a reason to terminate you if they don't want you and it is often hard to

prove discrimination in court.

Gretchen's advice is a good way to test the water before jumping in.
