Guest guest
Welcome Wynelle, There is no way to " predict " how your CMT will progress or not progress. Everyone of us are different due to out own genetic codes. Even doctors, knowledgeable about CMT, cannot " predict " your CMT progression. Simple story: I had a neurologist tell me when I was 27 that I would need a wheelchair fulltime by the time I was 30. I am now 54, no where near a wheelchair, and since age 30 I have been extremely active in aerobics, biking, power-walking, for the last 5-6 years also now doing aquatics, pilates and biking again. I do believe for me, that the exercise has been most beneficial in many ways. I was originally diagnosed as a child (1962) and encouraged to bike, swim and walk in sand to strengthen feet and ankle muscles, which I still do. ~ Gretchen
