Hi, Teri, CMT1B = = That is the kind of CMT is the one that myself and my

daughter were diagnosed with also. We, too, have the tight stocking on foot

thing but now mine feels more like a cinder block at times. I do not have all

the symptoms you present - I do have the tingling and twitching at times but not

all the time. I have a tendency to fall down a lot so Dr. prescribed 300 mg.

Alpha Lipoic Acid daily and that helps. (Tripped over my own feet).

I am going in for major surgery next week (colovesical fistulae) which is

completely unrelated to CMT1B but have to discuss it with anesthesiologist

because of nerve damage from some drugs. Some drugs not compatable with this

CMT so always ask.
