Guest guest
My Dr. has put me on this recently and its been 3 weeks and I haven't seen any difference. Does anyone take this or other types and can comment about it. Also, my fingertips have become numb and tingly since taken them. He seems to think that's the CMT. I am also taking Lorazepam for anxiety. Thanks
Guest guest
I have been taking Lexapro since before my CMT diagnosis. It helps me with both depression and anxiety. I wouldn't say that I have had huge mood improvement, it just takes the edge off my Type A personality and I am much less prone to blowing up at my family. Guest guest
Hi , I've taken various anti-depressants for the past 9 years or so. None worked really well – just took the edge off. Another thought, perhaps trying a different dose or different med will help. Talk to your doctor if you think the Lexapro isn't working for you. I recently was diagnosed with bipolar type 2 and put on a mood stabilizer. It has worked wonders. It was my daughter's counseler who recognized the sypmtoms and suggested bipolar. Then I went to a medication management doctor for psychiatric conditions. She did a questionaire for bipolar. Although there isn't a definate way to diagnose bipolar, the questionaire gives probabilities. If you score 20 or higher, you probably have bipolar - I scored 30. She started me on a sample pack and has monitored the results and adjusted any meds or dosages as needed. Tonya
