Add some stuff to wikipedia for us would ya? You can add anything you

want. That's the greatness an the danger of these " wiki " things.

I'll add it to my list of things to do. I guess we owe it to all those

searching parents out there who don't know but what they find. If we

don't tell them, who will?

When our foundation first started, another mom wrote a whole page about Lyme Induced Autism on Wiki. It was beautifully done. It only stayed up for 1 week then was taken down. We determined that they are reviewed by some sort of medical board and then when they don't "agree" with what's put up, they take it down and delete it. Kind of like censorship, don't you think?

Heidi, its not like it was even 6 years ago. There's loads of info outthere. ARI is the 5th link on Google. You walk into Borders and see's book staring at you. There are DAN docs books out there.I think if there is a will you will find a way. People who claim theydon't know about treatment either don't want to do them, or don'tbelieve in them. The ones who are serious about treating *will* end upin lists like this. I wanted to say, I think you can safely save yourenergy for your other endeavors :).GayatriPS I have spoken plenty to parents who have just shrugged things off.So be it. > >> > Heidi> > Add some stuff to wikipedia for us would ya? Thanks for trying Kristie...I knew someone did but the brain fog prevented me from remembering. (nice excuse, huh!)

It could have been someone like my husband's uncle. He is retired and spends 1/2 of his day on wikipedia "correcting" entries for the benefit of all users. You never know who the self-appointed guardian of the page is. So, please, never use wiki for definitive research! It could be some half blind retired actuary in India who deleted the page.JillSent via BlackBerry by AT&TFrom: Tamiduncan@...Date: Fri, 1 Aug 2008 11:19:26 EDTTo: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >Subject: Re: Re: Wikipedia on Autism When our foundation first started, another mom wrote a whole page about Lyme Induced Autism on Wiki. Just rewrite in word, then you can cut and paste it in as often as needed.

Subject: Wikipedia on AutismTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Friday, August 1, 2008, 12:01 AM

If you look up Wikipedia's description on autism, you will be dismayed. It says it has a strong genetic cause, there is no evidence of vaccines being related to autism, and strong overwhelming evidence that vaccines are not related. It then mentions that there are now measles outbreaks due to less people vaccinating. It actually did state that environmental toxins may be an issue worthy of research. It made no mention of pathogens. Of course, the prognosis isn't good either. I could not find anything on DAN doctors. I remember one time I saw it, it did have DAN information on it. Goes to show you how some people feel the need to keep things the way they are. I would take the effort to re-write it if I thought it would not be changed back the next day. Maybe one day I will be in the mood to do it. Heidi N
