Guest guest
Hi Robin, Welcome to our community, and thanks so much for introducing yourself. The tendon surgery on feet (like what I had as a kid) was to stop my feet from rolling when I walked. My left foot rolled to the left, my right foot rolled inward, also toward the left. The surgery stabilized my feet so I could walk forward with a better, more normal gait. Not only the surgery, but the combination of PT (swimming and walking in sand) made all the difference for me. It is the only CMT surgery I've had. Here's an article on soft tissue surgery for CMT that may explain it and other surgeries more. http://www.jbjs.org.uk/cgi/reprint/71-B/1/17 I hope you get alot out of . ~ Gretchen
