Guest guest
Hi Rita, I just read your posting and saw mention of Ambrotose. I'm new to Lyme research, so please excuse me if the below info is not relevant. Perhaps it's outdated? There is no date on the article linked below. I took my son off glyconutrients last month, after reading this: http://www.sarnet.org/ltr/lymelet.htm Quote: " I'd therefore like to throw in another comment for parents, who are hooked on the essential sugars (glucose, maltose, mannose, chitobiose and N-Acetylglucosamine) - these are food for Borrelia Burgdorferi - maturing the spirochetes, leading to diseases like Lyme Arthritis. Funnily enough, the natural therapy for Arthiritis is N-Acetylglucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate - both these serve as food for the Bb's in Lyme Disease too. " I had him on Glycomannan because he is allergic to rice (in Ambrotose) but stopped it immediately. Thought it to be better safe than sorry, while waiting for the Igenix test to come back. Anyone heard of to glyconutrients feeding borrelia? Let me know if the connection has been disproved and I'll put glycomannan back in. Guest guest
, I have read about this and potential issues about the aloe vera with our children. My personal take on this is I have GREAT doctors that have brought my son and many others that I personally know a LONG way. They are highly regarded in their Lyme work. Dr. Amy is the one that advises me...and his body LOVES it. My mom-o-meter says, if his body loves it, regardless of the reports out their and my informed doctor ups the dose to help...that's what I'm doing. I think this is where a good doctor and a good muscle tester comes in. There are good and bad about a lot out there. Sorting it all out is where good research is important, then from there a good mom-o-meter and prayer over whether this supplement is right for Your child. All the best! Guest guest
Glycomannan tested as " highly beneficial " for him with BioSET, but I'm not sure if it also picks up on the benefits to any unwanted passengers..... ;-) He wasn't on it long enough to pick up any changes in his lyme status. BioSET indicated that he's been infected with lyme, but I'm not convinced enough to jump into treatment right now. I need to learn more and see a conventional lab test or two first. I've still been giving him the occasional dose of aloe juice to speed up his GI transit time if VitC and Magnesium are not enough. I don't notice any changes one way or another (except for the expected one in relation to BM's) so I don't know what effect it's having on any possible bacterial infections. He has a very sensitive system and usually I'll know right away if something is out of balance. He no longer has any ASD behaviors to use as a gauge, but he exhibits physical/medical signs or acts out of character. Since he's such an easy child to read and is quite stable at the moment - my mom-o-meter doesn't have to work overtime anymore. If he DOES have an infection that needs to be addressed, this is a good time to do it - now that his leaky gut is healed and his behavior has normalized. I hope to uncover the final piece of the puzzle here. I'm going to continue reading the message archive to see what I can uncover. I think it's time for me to create a new posting with what I'm specifically looking for.... > > , > I have read about this and potential issues about the aloe vera with > our children.
