good news and advice for my MIL

Hi everyone

So we went to physical therapy with my 3 year old. I told her about

our struggle getting her to pedal a trike. The therapist was

like, " Hold on! " She got out a trike with pedal adapters and we let

her try it out. Addie started slowly but then slowly went faster and

rode it all around down the hall and everything. If you could've seen

the smile on her face...She has wanted to ride a bike since before she

was 2 and she was glowing. We now have been velcroing her feet to her

pedals and that has helped. So she has been riding down the driveway.

As for advice, my mil with CMT is 55 and having her 10th surgery on one of her

feet. They keep trying to refuse the foot and then they take her out of a cast

after about 2-3 weeks, she walks on it and breaks it again. It also has an

infection in it. It looks so horrid...I don't think that she should even walk

on it after all its been through. It seems after this next surgery (friday) she

should stay off it for a really long time. Like at least a month or two. She

lives in a small town in Indiana and my husband and I don't believe her doc

knows much about CMT. I'm just afraid she may lose her foot. It's really bad.

Any prayers or knowledge or advice is appreciated...thank you all

Amelia
