Guest guest
Sal,I have been using Banderol and Cumanda for the past 7 months, and decided to stay away from Samento (Cat's Claw) due to these concerns:Limin: Have some faith in Cat's Claw/Samento. Its my favorite herb that we ever used. My kids lost even residual symptoms. They just wrestle, dance and run around the house, and say all those whooo, shucks, awesome, etc. words, and they truly remind me how rambunctious "normal" kids are. Dr. Cowden gives it to kids. I say go for it. Just start off low and slow and have some Burbur from die-off. After about a month on Samento, we could take gobs of it, with no more die-off. Its just the initial die-off that will get one. I heard Cumanda has worse die-off than Samento. I just ordered some Cumanda, so I will be trying that after the LDM-100. Heidi N 1. It might be too strong for the children. Cat's Claw has been traditionally used by the Peruvian Indians to prevent or abort pregnancy. Herbs that are used for this purpose are considered in the "extreme cold" category by the traditionally Chinese herbal practice, and are not considered suitable for children or for long-term use. (The Chinese divides the herbs into 3 major categories, hot, cold, and neutral.)2. Cat's Claw helps to raise CD57. My son's CD57 is 198, which is very good. I do not wish to further stimulate this.3. Some believe that Cat's Claw regulates immune system by stimulating it. As you mentioned below, direct immune stimulation may exacerbate the autoimmune disorders.LiminGet fantasy football with free live scoring. Sign up for FanHouse Fantasy Football today. Guest guest
My children also got a return of diarhea and undigested food pieces, but since they immediately lost some risidual autism symptoms, I voted it was die-off. After a month or so, it went away. And actually, the diarhea fluctuated with hard stools or somewhat constipated. I thought it was weird, but it has such a good reputation, I stuck with it. I really liked it, and may take it again when I get through with the other herbs. I think I will give Noni and Cumanda a try after the LDM-100. After that, we may just be able to go off of all this stuff. That's my hope/prediction/guess/? I do believe herbs can be harmful, that is why I believe in doing much research. We also stopped the pectasol and are now doing Spirulina. I figure I gave Pectasol a chance to do whatever it was going to do, about 7 months on it. I figure 7 months on Spirulina should get us some more toxin reduction. I also have a bunch more detoxers, don't know when to implement them. I just know everyone is so happy. My girl still has some ADHD, so let's see what happens with that. I think there are many ways to rid pathogens and toxins, and I definitely feel people should do what they believe in and understand. Guest guest
If Cowden uses Samento as immune enhancer that explains why it is given continual use while the other herbs are rotated... huh. How do undigested foods in stool come into play with Samento? Is this because it is creating too much immune action in the digestive tract (over or auto immunity?)... or if transient as in your case Heidi... what is causing it.. temporary disruption of digestion due to die off? I have extreme IgG food allgeries and took samento for 12 days, and had either a die off with extreme vibrating in nerves of upper neck and head and then extreme jaw pain or it was an " autoimmune " response. MY daughter also is IgG to every food (but meat) as I am and dont want to exacerbate that. With her 750plus cd57, it seems obvious to keep her away from samento given it raises that (unless someone can shed light that would say otherwise...) as for me, I am not sure as my cd 57 is low. So many puzzle pieces.
