Guest guest
Recently, I had a C-section and even more recently, my broken leg repaired. With both surgeries they had a very difficult time getting me " numb " for the surgery, and then afterwards, keeping the pain at bay. I am about 100lbs, so the anesthesiologist was bewildered about it. I am a week out from having plates put in my leg, and in a considerable amount of pain. I am having to take a ridiculous amount of pain meds to keep the pain under control...since I hate taking meds, this is driving me crazy. I seem to have an unusually high tolerance for drugs. I wondered if this might be a result of having chronic pain with CMT? Have any of you had the same experience? Interesting to note: I was prescribed the drug Tramadol for the pain about the same time that Gretchen forwarded the article on treating neuropatic pain with it. It has compeletely taken away the neuropathic pain associated with the CMT. Thanks, Amy
