For those who are looking for an alternative source for Omega 3 - DHA, one that is not derived from fish oil or flax seed oil take a look at the product called "life's DHA" made by Martek. http://www.martek.com/. Their DHA is derived from algae. At that site you will find that their product is being added to various products that are in our grocery stores right now. I have one of them in our fridge right now. That is Minute Maid Pomegranate Blueberry juice. It is in some baby formulas. It is in some Yoplait yogurt. And it can be purchased in a capsule form -- children's and adult.

I first learned about this company's product about 10 years ago. The company Royal BodyCare offers a product called I.Q. DHA http://www.royal-health.com/dha.htm. As far as I can determine it is the same as the "life's DHA" sold at the Martek website.

I like the idea of obtaining Omega 3 from a source other that fish oil because of the possible problem with mercury in fish.
