hi everyone

I'm looking to all of you again for any experience or research you have

involving treatment for very flat feet and how effective physical

therapy is. I live in Dayton Ohio and I took my 3 year old to her

first physical therapy apt. Her assessment was that her motor skills

are around a 2 year old level and balance around 2.5. the physical

therapist said one leg is weaker than the other and it holds her back a bit.

Her feet are so flat she almost walks on the sides a bit. she is recommending

us to go to the orthotist and get special custom inserts.

do you guys believe this might help? she spoke with him and he says he treats

almost all the cmt patients in the area but has never seen such a young kid. it

seems like no one around here knows what to do with a 3 year old with cmt. you

guys are my most knowledgable resource so any advice or help would be great. My

concern is putting her in orthotics...could it make her muscles weaker???
