Guest guest
Make sure your travel agent/tour agent knows this: " The City of Pasadena, along with the Tournament of Roses Association, are working together to make sure that everyone gets a good view of the parade. Thus, someone with a disability should contact the City of Pasadena, Accessibility & Disability Issues Coordinator, Pasadena City Hall, 100 No. Garfield Ave. Room #323 after September 1 each year. They'll be able to direct you to the area for your special needs. Guest guest
I've been many many times as it happens only about 20 minutes from where I live. First advice is go by yourself unless that tour company has seats. If they do then you should be just fine, if they don't then you want to drive yourself, find a place to park and get there the night before (like 5 or 6pm) and stake yourself out a claim on the curb. Also if your going by yourself and do stake out a claim on the curb make sure to bring chairs. If you have seats with the tour company then it should all be pretty easy. The seats are bleacher style. I find most of the fun though (back when I could still walk and do it) was hanging out on New Year's Eve and joining in the big party that goes on all night. I did very much enjoy it also the one year we had seats. Also I'd suggest bringing along your own TP as the porta potties really suck there and you want to make sure you have if you need. Also take spending cash for the merchants the run up and down the street selling balloons and blow horns and stuff like that. You should enjoy the parade very much.
