Guest guest
Hello OMG we are so car sick! I have 4 daughters 3 bio and one adopted 2 of the 3 are confirmed CMT and one is not (Not tested but possible CMT. They are all wildly car sick and so am I. We also all have a gag reflex while visiting the dentist. 1 sweats profusly. We sound like a pack of hypocondriac but it is indeed real and a very real problem. Guest guest
Tammy, What type of CMT do they have ? Do you have CMT too? What age where they diagnosed? What were the first symtoms? I have 3 kids but only 1 has obvious symptoms of CMT she is almost 4 but has had drop foot since birth. Genetic testing hasn't been positive and EMG was used to determine the diagnosis. Hers being Type 2 but we are seeing a genetic research speacialist in FL soon to see what we can find out. J. Hart
Guest guest
We too are car sick!!! I have CMT and so do one of my two children. We both have terrible car sickness-actually motion sickness in general. ALSO... I have the worst gag reflex.... when I was pregnant I could hardly stand to brush my teeth!! Guest guest
My kids were always car sick in part from off-gassing from the material in the car. My oldest is especially sensitive to this. Cleanliness of the car helped make a difference. I have seen a variety of answers on this list. This topic comes up periodically. So you are hardly alone. Guest guest
I used to get carsick as a kid and sometimes as an adult. I think part of it is a vestibular issue. S S Car sickness Posted by: " mominau09 " mcmillan2406@... mominau09 Sat Apr 4, 2009 9:19 pm (PDT) Hi there. My son seems to experience car sickness once in a while (more so when we drive through sinuous roads) and I am wondering if anyone else has seen this ? I have tried to link it to viruses, antibiotics, whatever, but I cannot really put my finger on it... All I can say is that when he does NOT feel noxious when driving, he is healthy and has a very healthy look about him (not the gray look he has now, which I assume has to do with yeast die off...) Dana - have you had this issue with your kiddos ? Anyone ? Guest guest
Hi . True - I agree, part to be vestibular... We have just started to do chelation following Andy's protocol and are in between rounds... he is also on nyastin for the yeast and I am not sure if the aggravation of his car sickeness and headaches are related... I wish I could understand wha causes it, he suffers a lot from constant sinus issues and headaches, now worse. Thanks Arianne > > I used to get carsick as a kid and sometimes as an adult. At my house, vestibular issues were caused by yeast overgrowth in the ears. Sinus issues and headaches were also caused by yeast. I don't know if you use them and nosedrops have mercury in them.? Can you get any closer to the brain than that, other than eyedrops which also contain mercury. Guest guest
Hi Francine, Yes, good point! But we do not use nosedrops, only saline when things get really bad... Eyedrops we use a LOT, though !!! How do I find out if the one I use has mercury in it ?!? Thanks Arianne > > > I wish I could understand wha causes it, he suffers a lot from constant sinus issues and headaches, now worse. > > I don't know if you use them and nosedrops have mercury in them.? Guest guest
Hmmm.. he's on Nystatin now (half of the recommended dosage, though, given his sensitivity), can it be caused by yeast die off ? Also, can you topically treat yeast in the ears ?? If so, how ? thanks Arianne > > True - I agree, part to be vestibular... Guest guest
Most eye and nose drops do not contain thimerosal anymore. They did in the 80's and up to a point in the 90's. saline nose drops never did and you can use those or make your own. All they are is salt water. Sinus problems were always yeast in our house, and from eating dairy. > > > I wish I could understand wha causes it, he suffers a lot from constant sinus issues and headaches, now worse. > > I don't know if you use them and nosedrops have mercury in them.? Guest guest
> Hmmm.. he's on Nystatin now (half of the recommended dosage, though, given his sensitivity), can it be caused by yeast die off ? It is possible. Yeast tended to migrate around in the body before leaving. > Also, can you topically treat yeast in the ears ?? If so, how ? Wally ear oil [garlic/mullein] can be good for that. I used oral supps to eliminate yeast, even yeast in the ears. Dana
