Hi ,

I don't know much about the research at Cedars but I can tell you it is a

wonderful hospital and Bernstein is one of the best doctors around. Dr.

Bernstein and his father Dr. Saul Bernstein did my son's surgeries in

2003 and 04. Dr. Saul did my surgery in 1987. I can't say enough wonderful

things about the Bernstein's.

,

I recommend The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Look up Drs. Dyck and

Klein. Or Drs. Greg and Phil Chance at University of

Washington.

If you are looking up University of Washington, I'd personally recommend Dr.

Bird. He's actually been at U for much longer and has been a leading

neurologist studying CMT since before I was born (39). My family were sort of

his Guinea pigs at one time, hahahaha.

Hello again ,

Yet another suggestion. I had my surgery done by Sigvard Hanson here in Seattle

at Harborview Medical Center. Wonderful job. If I had the time and money, I

would not hesitate to do my left foot.
