Guest guest
I have come across information on the Th1 and Th2 balance to the immune system from time to time, and taking things that increase Th1 immunity has made giant improvements in my family. Samento is said to do this. This could be why its my favorite supplement so far. I have also seen many reports that vaccines and lyme and a whole bunch of other things tilt the immune system to be too much Th2 and not enough Th1. Here is a report that talks about it a little. I have not taken any of the products they mention, so can not tell you anything about them, but I know I have seen some of them being talked about on the forums. I remember reading once that Turmeric can do this, but I can't find that report. Anyhow, I think balancing the immune system can be a manner to get good results. Sometimes I think that the reason vaccines might be triggering autism is because they tilt this balance to Th2. Note how Th1 is for killing intracellular pathogens an NK cells. I have read that those with autism have an overload of intracellular pathogens and low NK white blood cells. Thus, the Th1-Th2 balance is very important tofor health. http://www.anapsid.org/cnd/diagnosis/cheneyis.html Heidi N
Guest guest
Thanks Heidi, great link. I could finally wrap my head around this. Quest has a test for this, the Lymphocyte subset panel 1. http://www.questdiagnostics.com/hcp/intguide/jsp/showintguidepage.jsp?fn=TH_Lymp\ hSubPnls.htm If someone has a link to explain the ratios well somewhere, I would appreciate it.
