Guest guest
That's great news, . When I started a walking program (1986 or so) better balance is what I first noticed too. Isn't is amazing what we * can do * for ourselves?! ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
I agree - exercise and good stretching help me to feel more " in my legs " and stable. Good to hear that you are finding improvement too ! Guest guest
For all: My balance improved in about 8 seconds when my rehab doctor told me to plant my heels first and then roll through the step. This was really new to me as I have always been a toe walker. Try it -- it really works. --Larry
Guest guest
Larry, Yes, when I changed shoes to , then to NB, my orthotist explained how those shoes help toe walkers (like me too) to walk with a heel->toe gait. When I am barefoot now I can walk like this and roll through. Walking in water has also been beneficial for this " natural " walk. ~ Gretchen
