Guest guest
I went through an extensive 2-day one a few years ago before I returned to work after my second fusion in less than two years. I was exhausted by the process and hurt all over for a few days afterwards. Unfortunately the report was written poorly so they seemed to contradict themselves in places. It took a team of lawyers to get things pinned down. Guest guest
Hi again! I had my evaluation today for my disability claim. It took them a few months to get me in so in the mean time I was denied again. So now is the appeal process. When I had the test today I did not feel that it was sufficent in determing what I can and cannot do. It was mainly strength issues. What could that possibly have to do with stamina and faitgue and all the other symptoms? It just really left me hanging. My neurologist should be recieving the report tomorrow, the 11th and I asked him to fax me a copy. Has anyone gone through the FCE and what did you think of it? I cried when I first walked in and saw all of the equipment. I was so scared! I felt like a fool but unfortunatley I could not control the emotions. The therapist was very nice and reassuring. It was enough to calm me down, that is until he put me on the treadmill. That was one thing that I was praying I would not have to do. I really tried my best but my right leg felt like it was dragging and it felt as though I had to force the leg to move. I thought I was going to collapse and got really scared and of course the tears started again!! So he stopped that part of the test. Sorry I got on a roll there. Still a little emotional about it. It is so difficult when you want to do things and you know that you can't. Anyway, thanks for " listening " . Teri, PA
