Guest guest
I just received my handicapped sticker after my 1st CMT related surgery for heel lengthening. I will get to use it for 4 months. The main reason indicated on the form was 'inability to walk 200 feet without rest'. I sure hope people don't look at me, see how young I am and judge me for it. My walking is just slow going right now, it has been a long time since I've been able to walk heel to toe.
Guest guest
, People probably will look at you. I get that all the time and I use a cane and have 2 braces on my leg. It is pretty amazing how people react. I try to not let it get to me and once in a very blue moon, I look at them and ask " Do you have a question for me? " Generally, people just have morbid curiosity! Jackie
Guest guest
That's true Jackie...Not long ago I parked in a handi spot at Foodworld and this lady (I use the term loosely) stared at me the whole time I got out of my truck...she even was looking back over her shoulder staring....I stared right back at her with a mean look and said, " What are you looking at? " She put it in second gear with a look of astonishment on her face. I thought it quite funny....It is really aggravating when people are so rude...my philosphy now is to turn it around on them and make them embarrassed. : ) Jimmy
