Guest guest Posted July 30, 2007 Report Share Posted July 30, 2007 Hi folks, Just a heads up & a little rant. Went to the DMV to get a replacement for the placard that I lost. Didn't know that I couldn't use the lost one if I found it. Used the lost one - that looks just like the replacement (different # though), and was towed. The whole thing cost over $600. I'm fighting it b/c they should have warned me about using a lost card - either in writing or verbally - but the DMV just handed me a new one - But I think this battle is a lost cause.
