Hi Tonya,

Perhaps by not having " medical " " backup in your HR file, they don't

believe you. I can understand not wanting all of your medical

records to go to your employer. Would your doc be willing to write a

simple explanation of your needs to satisfy the medical issue for

the need of handicapped parking? Perhaps the same letter can state

that you must sit down at meetings.

Then take that to HR and go to " their " doctor (who is probably not

going to know CMT anyway). So, refile your grievance with your

doctor's letter. If, after that, you have followed the

whole " process " and get nowhere, file with the EEOC - also call up

the ADA on Monday and run this by them too. They are very helpful.

Toll-Free ADA Information Line 800-514-0301.

Do not question or second guess yourself. Your employer is trying to

wear you down so you'll shut up. Be assertive, ask for what you need

and get it.
