My Introduction to the Group

Hi,

I am new to the group also and come from a family that has CMT. My

brother when he was alive suffered the most with it. For years doctors

would tell me that the pain was all in my head and nothing wrong and

when finally demanded tests be run they were quick to change their

tune. Now you ask why didn't I go to the same doctor but he had retired by the

time I started showing any symptoms and was hesitant after going to so many

different ones trying to find one who even knew about CMT.

My sisters both suffer from it but don't want to go and get tested b/c

they fill I guess that " what they don't know won't hurt them " ha. Pain

is pain and if they can relieve some of it then why not get tested for

it and find a solution.

But enough for now and hope to meet some new friends here.
