Guest guest
Hi , I too wish we had a support group/playgroup for kids with similar special needs. My daughter is almost 4 and I have to admit I sometimes wish she wasn't always the last one in a pack of kids running around. I see how it frustrates her and she opts out of alot of group physical activities like tag and ring around the rosie. I wish you luck with your group search. Our MDA office does have a parents support group that meets locally monthly. I've thought about seeing if I can connect with any parents of similar aged kids to start something. I think it would be good for her to play with all kinds of kids whether they are 100 percent able bodied or confined to a wheelchair. Just so she can see that people come in many different packages. Guest guest
I too think that it is good for children to be around others that aren't perfect it helps them to be a better person I think and not to judge on appearance. My daughter is almost 4 with CMT and there are no support groups or anything in NC near me either so I am thankful for the ones online I have found.
