Guest guest
Dana- You're at a very easy point to switch to cloth if you're baby is a toddler. Just get some of those nice stretchy cotton pull-ups and then the thick " diaper doubler pads " (there are internet sources for them if you can't find them locally). Sticking one pad inside the pull-up was usually enough protection for my kids for regular day-time at-home use. At night with a heavy wetter I'd use 2 pads & a cover-all over the whole works. When we would go out I would usually use 1 pad and a cover-all. This system worked great for me with the last 3 babies. You can often just slip the wet pad out and stick a new one in. The kids really do train faster this way.. I had 4 in regular diapers before the 3 in cloth and there was easily a year average difference in the time to train. You will both become much more aware of the times that they need to go and pretty soon you will have a habit of putting the child on the pot at certain times.. i.e., immediately after eating, waking, getting out of the car, etc. You'll especially learn to catch those bm's quick and the baby will play the game with you and let you know when it's coming. Good luck! Meg

I want to use them for the new baby but also possibly for Cole until we are potty trained. Has anyone used them in general for any of their kids, and has anyone used them with their child in a cast? I am curious, how they fit with a cast, what brands did you find worked best? > >I don't know if anyone else would be interested in this so you can feel free to email me directly if you want jennifer.leggett@... > >Thanks! > >Jenn, mommy to Cole, 2 years, 5th cast from Rocheste
