Caryn, could you tell me what specific test/ tests you did from Fry Labs?

http://www.frylabs.com/services.php

http://www.frylabs.com/forms/labrequisition.pdf

For the Stained Smear with photos, does it tell only about Bartonella

and Babesia, or more if you happen to have them?

Would the " go off of herbals/ meds rule for 2 days/ 3 days/ a week

(what is the right number of days) " apply for the smear test or would

it not matter?

I still need to get my son's complete lyme and co-infection testing done.

I went to the IgeneX website and there it says (different from the lab

requisition form) that the complete co-infection panel #5090 is not

available for NY residents. See here:

http://igenex.com/Website/

Click on " What Tests to Order. "

At this point I am just confused on what to order from where. I am

also in NY. If you could advise me on what I should order from where

to get a complete picture of our lyme and co-infections story, I would

appreciate it. I wanted to run all our testing by our DAN end of this

week when we see him. Hopefully.

Thanks

Gayatri

Hi Gayatri,

We had the stained smear with photos done. My lymes practitioner had

us off all " antibiotics " and the like for 2 weeks. This test will

show babesia and bartonella, not borrelia. The clongen test showed

babesia for my son, but missed the bartonella. I would use igenex

for western blot and fry for coinfections.

Who is your DAN?

Thanks Caryn for the information. It is much appreciated.

Our DAN is Ken Bock. I actually took a relook at the NY testing and I

think I made a mistake, we might be able to do the whole Igenex

co-infection panel after all. I will double-check to make sure. I will

definitely stay away from Clongen however.

Thanks again
