Guest guest
Welcome Janice, I've been off list for a bit finding my sanity. I realized when I came back that I had originally joined just 1 month after it started (or there abouts). I have 2 children, is 10 years old, Down syndrome, was diagnosed autistic, but just had the diagnosis lowered down to PDD-NOS and they dropped the former diagnosis of ADHD and ODD, and added (or are about to) celiac disease. I also have a 19 month old, , typical, but very strong-willed. He was at the evaluation (or re-evaluation) of and the doctor thought he was 2. He's further along than other kids I know his age. I homeschool both (though just work on colors and counting with ). As you probably noticed from my previous posts, we're getting ready to retire from the Navy, and beautiful Hawaii, and go back to Illinois where the seasons actually change. This is a good list, lots of support and good advice. I remember how happy I was to hear other people describe my child in theirs. is mostly verbal now, just doesn't have proper sentence structure. He's actually learning from his brother, well from trying to communicate his wants and needs to his brother. They play well together. Guest guest
Hi Janice and welcome! I too have had dislocations, my knees a lot when I was younger, but thankfully with age and exercise these are getting stronger. Most recently I have knocked my elbow out of joint. It was strange because I think it went the " wrong way out " meaning not the usual dislocation. I have very loose and unstable joints. The elbow was a shock, but due to my knees I reduced it (with some help from a person holding my wrist while I pulled), and have so far avoided the doctor but will ask to see one to get some stabilising and strengthening exercises and also a scan to make sure it is ok. This is a great group for information. I have quite asymptomatic CMT and sometimes do not relate 100% to everything said here, but I appreciate the honesty and openness on the list. Also the wealth of information and studies. And the sharing of experiences, what works and doesn't. It is a place to come to learn and personally I prefer the positive discussions and motivations. Best wishes, Donna from London -------------------------------- Please consider supporting my 2007 fundraising activities - click through to learn more - http://home.earthlink.net/~sponsordonna
