Guest guest Posted July 10, 2007 Report Share Posted July 10, 2007 Hello- My name is Gail and I have a 4 yr old son with CMT type 1, a 1 yr old daughter we will be getting tested soon, and my husband is also CMT Type 1. We learned of my son's condition after test results came in a few months ago, and we have since been attending regular physical and occupational therapy appointments. My husband has had little to no intervention, and is fully functional. He does experience pain and cramping. My son is a little behind his peers with fine and gross motor skills, but we are working hard to get him as caught up as he can be. We have many family members with CMT also. I would love to share my experiences thus far and learn from others who have nagivated schools, healthcare, and just everyday life.
