Guest guest
Hi everybody!!!! I have a question: how is your relationship with heat and cold? Because I have problems with both. With cold I can´t move I have pain in my articulations and really I seem I robot, sometimes my legs and my arms are rigid. Sometimes I feel the same sensation in my temporomandibular articulation and it force me to open the mouth. It is a real problem because Bogota is a cold city, the mean temperature is 12º C. And with the heat I can´t move so much, with heat I´m like a clothes doll, I lose all my force, sometimes feel that in my tongue and I can´t speack. It´s a luck in Colombia there isn´t summer. I think it has relation with my muscular tone, but really I don´t know.
Guest guest
Gretchen, Thank you very much for your information!!! And for Dawn: I feel my tone is better with cold than with heat. I think is more easy to control cold dressing sweeters, socks, and gloves, but heat is not. Don´t worry some times I feel crazy, too. Many of my symptoms are so uncommon like that. Guest guest
Geri, I can't find anything in our Files at the moment, but definitely check our Message Archives. The CMTA has a brochure that mentions the cold. You can download it here - scroll down to about the 11th publication. https://secure.charcot-marie-tooth.org/publications.php Gretchen
