Guest guest
I finally got a court date. My court day is October 22. I am so nervous. I have a few questions for everyone in this support group. I just don't know what to expect at this court date. My attorney is meeting with me on October 16 to go over things. There is one thing I want to know from you all. How long after I go to court has it taken some of you to get your decision. Then after your decision how long after that did it take to get your first check. I have been waiting for this court date for almost 3 years. Any help with knowing any thing about this would help me. Guest guest
Hi Sue, Your attorney will explain everything about the Hearing, who says what, who does what, who will be there, etc. If you have any new medical info, be sure to get it to your attorney, who will get it to the AL Judge, I think it has to get there 20 days before the Hearing. The Judge can make a decision right there in some situations. But it takes Soc. Sec. awhile to get your benefits letter out. I'm shocked this has been a 3 year wait. ~ Gretchen
