This diagnosis seems like it has been a long time coming......from a podiatrist who said I had a rare foot deformity (not CMT) and wanted to fuse my ankles 2-1/2 years ago, to a general practitioner who a year ago suspected CMT after an ulcer formation on my foot and numerous tests. Since that time I have been to 4 neurologists.....3 telling me varying things and trying costly treatments to no avail. Recently my chiropractor suggested I try a neurologist at a teaching hospital....and suddenly someone put all the pieces of the puzzle together. Although I am concerned about the future, I am actually breathing a sigh of relief that I finally have found the right doctor and that we are heading in the proper direction. Yeah!
