It requires using one hand to feel for the pulsation of the artery and the other hand to draw the blood from the artery. It is different than drawing blood from a vein - you can use a tournaquit (sp?) to pump up a vein > > Hi Deb and welcome. Is there a way you could do your job with employer > made modifications? Go and talk to Human Resources and ask for job > accommodation, because of your CMT hands/numbness. Depending on the size of your employer, they may make assistive devices, or help in other ways.
