Guest guest
Hi Holli, I used to love hiking in the Topanga area too. I know what you mean, no sidewalks, 'serious slant', lol, I'd say it's frickin' living on a hillside! For me, having lived with CMT since childhood, I've come to realize that it is stressors that aggravate CMT. If I can keep my stressors in check, I'm OK. Big stressors for me are noise, crowds and lack of sleep. I have learned to pace myself out, in the garden I set a timer, when that goes off, I quit work. It was hard at first not to just keep going 'on this one little thing', lol, but one hour segements in the garden are just fine for me. I haven't noticed problems after workouts, but I workout in the mornings when I'm at my best. And yes, too 'emotional stressors', these can be a killer. ~ Gretchen
