I am under a neurologist care and have been for over 10 years (back injury), at my last visit I complained about cramping in my calfs and burning in my feet and lower legs. He ran some tests and asked if I knew anything of Charcot Marie Tooth disease. I had heard of it before as my Aunt was diagnosed with it and we belive my Mother had it also ( really high arches etc.) Any way, he said that is what I had, gave me a muscle relaxer to take at night, and pain pills ( but I use as a last resort ... ) usually take Aleeve. I have severe anemia so I tend to shy away from asprin, as it thins my blood too much. I have been hunting out information on CMT and came accross this group. I am still a baby at this just learning ... the doctor seemed concerned about my sugar count also ( does this have anything to do with CMT?) I am borderline diabetic, which I can control with diet.
