Guest guest
I wrote once about my daughter's physical therapist using pedal adapters on her trike. She went from never being able to pedal to pedaling quickly and fine. I think you can buy the pedal adapters online. Amelia
Guest guest
Amelia, You see I have a 4 year old but she's 4ft tall and 60 lbs a regular tricycle is too tiny for her. She doesn't have the balance or coordination or experience to have a bike for her size with training wheels but once she's older straps on the pedals will do fine Her AFOs help to keep ankles in proper position, they do not have extra power to give the muscles that do not work at all because of CMT. I just posted the Amtryke info in case some other child might be in the same situation. She doesn't care if her bike looks different she's going to be able to ride a bike with her friends instead of sitting and watching. Guest guest
Our PT recommended this website for pedal adapters. We tried them in her clinic, and they worked great. http://equipmentshop.com/
