The article I saw in the LA TIMES business section used Crocs as the

headline, but then went on to say the real danger was for people, especially

children, wearing rubber flip flops.

If you stay away from the non-moving side of the escalator, and pick your feet

up at the top, as the stairs end, you shouldn't have a problem.
