Crack Down On Illegal Handicapped Tags-I was towed

I am going to court next Monday and Friday. My car was towed and ticketed when

I used my lost handicapped placard.

When I went to the DMV to replace the lost placard I was not told that it is

illegal to use my lost one if I found it. I was just handed a new one.

Both placards looked the same.

I tried to fight it at a DMV hearing but the guy said that they are cracking

down on placard abuse because " doctors hand them out like candy. "

The whole thing cost approximately 700.00.

I believe that cracking down on placard abuse will effect those with invisible

disabilities the hardest.

If they want to crack down on parking abuse they should look at the misuse of

city owned cars.
