For a long time I took a medication called Amitriptyline (Elavil). I tried 2 other medications, one, which seems to have very good results called Primidone (Mysoline) The other medication I tried was Propranolol (Inderal) but it created adverse effects. These medications have other uses as well. There is an amino acid (supplement) called Isoleucine that is also used, but extremely expensive.
