Thank you for sharing your story...from what I have learned from

others it seems that your mom's reaction to having a husband and

child with CMT was a product of the times - not necessarily her

fault. The reasons for disabilties occuring in families was

something to be ashamed of....because the unknown was feared.

Society didn't understand and didn't want to understand how anyone

could survive and be productive if they were less than perfect.

Aren't we glad that the times have changed? In today's times we see

imperfections as a challenge....let's find out why, then find the

cure. People are more understanding because we know more. At least

that's my spin on it.
